| I was pondering. You know the official minecraft helper app endorsed by mojang? Minecraft Explorer pro? well basically they have a server section. Now i was wondering if the $1 cost is worth it.
Pros: >potential, consistent source of advertising >app endorsed by mojang >on ios = more people
cons: >"nobody uses it" >"nobody checks servers" >no description section

| Hundreds of pages of servers, no way to search for a particular server, free version riddled with ads(not to mention you can only view 4 servers/day wtf...), no description - people will join and ask if we have factions or ask for gamemode etc., all we have to show is our ip uptime and rating which will likely be low from disappointed faction junkies. So once you submit, who knows how many times you'll have to click "Load More" before you find the server, then once you do, it'll tell you that you've exceeded your daily rations of server viewing(spend money to view more servers), or it'll have the ip...once said player musters enough energy to overcome laziness and type in ip they are discouraged by the fact that we don't have factions and leave the server leaving us with a low ranking and unused .yml files. Buuuuuut it's your money | |
